Rockingham, NC – As they work to gain greater exposure for the Sportsman Racer’s across the world, DragStory.com has partnered with Monty Mihko from Yellow Bullet, MIA Wings, Donald Long’s Duck X Productions and Scotty Richardson’s Grassroots Bracket Racing Series to bring you the 17th edition of the Holcomb Civil Wars, live from Rockingham Dragway in Rockingham, NC March 31st and April 1st.
Beginning Saturday morning, look for non- stop racing action with 3 full rounds of qualifying starting at 10 am followed by all class eliminations on Sunday morning at 10:30.
DragStory.com asked Blake Holcomb his thoughts on the webcast, “This will be the first ever broadcast of our race in its 17 year history. I cannot tell you how excited we are to have the DragStory.com team on hand to cover our event. All you have to do is go to their website and see they cover every aspect of the event through the live feed, pictures and results.”
Mark Walter, Editor for DragStory.com, is stoked to be in Rockingham for the Civil Wars, “I’ve been watching the folks cover this race on the forums for the last few years and believe it has great potential as a webcast. With 5 classes of heads-up racing action, Baer Brakes X275, Racecraft/MacFab/DPI Construction Beadlocks Outlaw X, Ultimate Converter Concepts Real Street, SR275, and ODR vs TT5 added to Pro Tree, Footbrake, Open Comp and 2 index classes, this race fits our viewership at MMTV perfectly.”
In addition to 2 days of live race action, look for ‘Live From The Waterbox’ Thursday evening. This is MMTV’s version of a pre-race talk show. The participants will talk about the race and what’s going on around the drag racing community. MMTV is currently working on their guest list and will update folks as soon as they have it locked down.

A VORTECH XB105 SUPERCHARGER WAS INSTALLED up at Eric Mcmillon's Speed 365 shop. in Axton Va. .. The guys up there DID great job getting the car ready for the Spring Civil Wars.. Unfortunately, the AWESOME power of the Vortech broke the 8.8 Ring and Pinion on the first pass., so we are now stepping up to a 9 inch Rear End.
The TRZ Motorsports 9 inch Rear Housing arrived today June 11th...Hopefully we will have it installed and ready to run before long! Call us for pricing on the TRZ Custom Housings!
