Round one winners - Tim Matherley, Billy Glidden, Rodney Patterson, and Bud Anderson.
Round two winners - Glidden bested Matherley, Billy's 7.73 to Tim's 8.63. Patterson outran Anderson to move into the finals with Glidden.
Glidden poured it on in the finals laying down a Civil War record 7.61 @ 189.73 to Patterson's 10.89 @ 81.43.

Jeff Tyson of Snow Hill, NC won the $1200 prize outgunning low qualifier Walt McIntyre whose driveshaft decided to leave the car before the finish line. Tyson ran a 5.698 @ 125 to McIntyre's 6.124 @ 89.

Carolina Renegade Results
Michael Goza of Beaufort, SC set low ET with a 9.96 @ 136.28 and captured both the Saturday and Sunday races.
Goza was the #1 qualifier on Saturday and went on to defeat Brian Baucom of Marshville, NC.
Goza was the #1 qualifier again on Sunday and defeated Jason Alston of Garner, NC.

Open Comp Results
Wayne Murphy of Jacksonville, NC captured the win on Saturday in his first Open Comp race defeating Larry Geddes of Barnesville, OH. Murphy made it to the final round on Sunday also, but fell to 1999 champ Michael Sanders of Lenoir, NC.
The 2000 Open Comp points standings after 2 races are:

Mod Motor Power Adder Results
Joe Stewart of Raleigh NC, the #1 qualifier on both Saturday and Sunday, met Joe Charles of Calhoun GA in the final round both days. Stewart ran a 10.116 @ 132.30 to Charles' 10.394 @ 128.25 on Saturday and a 10.017 @ 133.17 to Charles' 10.187 @ 130 on Sunday.

David Braxton of Chocowinity NC won Sunday's race beating Scott Smith of Lake Waccamaw NC.

Mod Motor Naturally Aspirated Results
Copeland Still of Winston-Salem NC defeated #1 qualifier John Marroquin of San Antonio TX on Saturday running a 12.766 @ 106.82 to Marroquin's 13.301 @ 104.06.
Copeland Still was #1 qualifier on Sunday and took the win again with a 12.746 @ 105.9 over Kevin Bortree of Denton NC with 13.612 @ 104.98.

Saturday's #1 qualifier Marion Nesbit of Sumter SC took the win over Blaney Taylor of Vanceboro NC with a 9.829 @ 136.94 to Taylor's 10.053 @ 134.54.
On Sunday Charles Potter of West Columbia SC beat Blaney Taylor running a 9.858 @ 135.56 to Taylor's 10.033 @ 134.27.
